Attractions in the city
Kempty fall : Kempty fall is 4500 feet high where a large number of tourists love to indulge in the fun activities and soak themselves in the gushing streams of pure water. The fall is located at the outskirts of Mussoorie and offers a heavenly atmosphere with its surrounding high mountains and lush greenery.
Gun Hill : The second highest peak of Mussoorie is the Gun Hill. A ropeway ride of 400 meters that takes the tourists to the top of the hill is the main attraction among the tourists. The splendid view of the lower areas complemented by the thrills of rope ride gives complete pleasure to the tourists.
Camel's Back Road : Quite ironically, ‘the horse rides’ on Camel’s Back road are extremely popular. Tourists explore the town on horse’s back. Since the road is quite steep, it is one of the popular places for trekking and other such activities.
Nag Devta Temple : It is one of the most ancient temples of Mussoorie, which is devoted to the God of snakes (Nag Devta). It is at a distance of 6 kilometers from the main town and is situated on Cart Mackenjie Road. Besides the sacred atmosphere for worshipping, this temple also offers a stunning view of the lower regions.
Mussoorie Lake : Boating is fun on the dazzling water of Mussoorie Lake amidst the fresh atmosphere of the area. The tourists can also enjoy a great view manifested by the natural beauty of Mussoorie.
Van Chetna Kendra : The animal lovers can spot a number of animal species here such as the Gaur, Kankar, Himalayan Peacock, and many more. The place offers a close encounter with its wildlife to the tourists. The place is decked with tall pine trees and flowering shrubs, therefore, the tourists come here for picnic as well.
Jwalaji Temple : Another revered temple, which is 9 kms from the Town centre is Jwalaji Temple. The temple is situated high at an altitude of 2104 m, covered by dense forests on the top of Benog hill. This temple is devoted to Goddess Durga.

Dehradun : Quite close to Mussoorie, Dehradun is surrounded by the Himalayas in north, the Shivalik range in south, the Yamuna in west and the sacred Ganges in east. Some tourist spots in this place are Rajaji National Park, Forest Research Institute, Tapkeshwar Temple, Malsi Deer Park, Sahastradhara and Robber's Cave. Not very different from the beauty of Mussoorie, the beauty of Dehradun is also mesmerizing.
Haridwar : Haridwar means the gate to God. It has been a very old pilgrimage for the Hindu devotees who visit the place whishing for alleviation from the sins.
